Cumulative Revenue Share (Pareto)

HardProQuerying BasicsWindow FunctionsAggregation & GroupingSubqueries & CTEs

Build a Pareto analysis of movies by revenue. Using a CTE, rank movies by revenue_millions descending, then show title, revenue_millions, cumulative_revenue (running sum, rounded to 2 decimals), and cumulative_pct (running sum as % of total revenue, rounded to 1 decimal). Exclude movies with null revenue. Sort by revenue_millions descending, then title ascending as a tie-breaker. Pareto analysis is asked at Netflix and Spotify because it reveals the 80/20 rule in content performance.
